Dr. Frank L. Bryant

Dr. Frank L. Bryant was for many years the eye, ear nose and throat specialist at Willis Knighton Medical Center.  A transplanted Iowan, Dr. Bryant was born in Chicago and grew up in Sioux City.  He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1925 and Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia two years later.

After practicing for several years in the Midwest as well as teaching at the University of Minnesota’s Medical School, he moved to Shreveport seeking a warmer climate for a son's illness.  In 1982, Dr. Bryant was honored along with a number of other area physicians and surgeons for practicing their profession for 50 years or more.

The medical library at the Willis-Knighton Medical Center is named in his honor.  He passed away in 1992 in Shreveport at the age of  88.
