Tiles from Tri-State Hospital Floor

Description

Among those items dating from the early days of Tri-State Hospital are hexagonal floor tiles.  The small white tiles were used in almost every hospital in the late 19th and 20th centuryh century.  As the hospital grew and changed the tiles were overlayed with other floors.

In 2013, worker replacing the carpeting in a portion of Wills-Knighton Medical Center building uncovered tiles identical to the ones that came to the museum from an unknown donor
