Willis-Knighton Rehabilitation Institute

Description

The Willis-Knighton Rehabilitation Institute serves patients who need physical rehabilitation (inpatient rehabilitation & outpatient rehabilitation) or behavioral rehabilitation.  The Institute began with the purchase of the former Doctors' Hospital.

Beginning life as the North Louisiana Sanitarium in 1907, Doctors' Hospital was a medical landmark in Shreveport and Bossier City, but closed its doors in 2010.  After an extensive makeover, the Rehabilitation Institute was opened to patients in 2017.

Moving these inpatient services from other Willis-Knighton campuses and incorporating them in a centrally-located hospital designed for rehabilitation better accommodates the needs of these patients. In addition to rehabilitation services, this location also features the Outpatient Dialysis Department.
